This often goes awkward if you place the balm of your hand too early on the screen because then everything between the hand and the pen is highlighted. (2) To highlight, go to menu, select highlighting pen, then select text. To make myself even clearer: In all PDF apps I tested so far the workflow is the following: (1) Use fingers to zoom, turn page, etc. I there any PDF viewer/editor which has such a function? I've had a look at quite a few but found nothing. However, AFAIK S-Note cannot handle PDFs. No interference between these two functions. Then you can write on the screen only with the pen, while the fingers will zoom etc. in S-Note when you choose "Pen only" (I think that's how it is called). Move, Zoom, etc with fingers (and not with pen)īoth functions should work at the same time without the need to switch anything. Highlight text with the pen (and pen only! Not with the fingers) For a smooth procedure, I would like to have the following functionality: Nature, Science.) and highlight text in them. One big thinkg I'd like to do with the Note is to read scientific PDFs (e.g. It's quite important to me - if I don't find a solution, I would sell the Note 10.1 again. Last 3 Kobo's (Nia, Libra 2 and Clara 2e) have same motherboard and worldwide many crash and poor battery life complaints.I'm looking for a specific workflow but haven't been lucky so far. The Boox is so much superior to the Kobo including better battery life which is strange because it runs Android and has same size battery as that Kobo.īTW. ![]() ![]() But because the Kobo (Clara 2e) was also extremely slow (internal storage is a freaking SD card), unstable and had poor battery life, I returned it within the 4 week return window and bought an Onyx Boox instead, that supports any Android app. The purchase of a Kobo forced me to get to know KOReader because Kobo's own reader is awfully limited and mediocre. (Except on e-ink Moon looks less good, not optimized for that type of display). But while I have bought and used better looking and more simple Moon Reader Pro for years, I completely switched. Two evenings of 1 to 2 hours experimenting and playing with the app and then suddenly there was a turning point and I knew the app like my back pocket. If remember correctly Readera can also text reflow PDF similar as Librera. Other slightly less good but oke apps with text reflow for PDF are Xodo (still have to scroll down each page a bit), Adobe Reader, Librera (converts PDF to epub, Pro version free at F-Droid). Might have to enable text reflow button in tool bar via PDF settings (these settings only accessible when a PDF is opened). And certainly is much better than limited and mediocre stock reader apps on e-ink devices from Kobo and Pocketbook. KOReader has a learning curve, but once you know how it works and how to use this app, it blows any ebook app out of the water including Moon. So can sync reading progress between these e-readers and Android (including Onyx Boox e-ink devices with Android). The great thing about this app too is that it is optimized for e-ink devices and has versions for every Kobo and Pocketbook e-ink e-reader. ![]() It reflows text in PDF that contains text very well. Only this app can even (not perfect but reasonably good) text reflow PDF's that do not contain text but only images. The best is KOReader, only available via F-Droid app store () or github. The name for that is text reflow or text wrap. You need an app that can with PDF fit or replace text in screen at any zoom.
